Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the instrument panel (IPC) cluster trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - IP Cluster .
  2. Remove the IPC screws.
  3. Rotate the IPC rearward and lift up on the top of the cluster in order to disengage the locating pins.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the IPC:
    • The black electrical connector (1)
    • The natural electrical connector (2)
  5. Remove the IPC.
