Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (IPC) cluster trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - IP Cluster .
  2. Grind the material from the heat stakes at the base of the air outlet deflector housing.
  3. Remove the air outlet deflector housing from the IPC trim plate.
  4. Using a small flat-bladed tool, disconnect the sides of the air outlet deflector housing.
  5. Open the air outlet deflector housing in order to expose the air outlet deflectors.
  6. Remove the air outlet deflectors from the housing by pressing out from the front to the rear.
