Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the air outlet deflectors to the housing by pressing in from the rear to the front.
  2. Connect the sides of the air outlet deflector housing by pressing together until fully seated.
  3. Position the air outlet deflector housing to the remaining unused heat stakes.
    IMPORTANT: If no unused heat stakes are available use LOCTITE® Black Max P/N 38050, or equivalent and Perma-Bond® accelerator P/N QFF16, or equivalent on the heat stakes.
  4. Melt the new heat stakes tabs using a soldering iron with a wide tip.
  5. Inspect the air outlet deflectors for proper operation.
  6. Install the IPC trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - IP Cluster .
