Wheel Stud (Semi-Floating Axle): Removal

Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove tire and wheel assembly.
Remove the brake drum. See 1998 DISC & DRUM -- TRUCKS -- EXCEPT TRACKER , 1999 DISC & DRUM -- TRUCKS -- EXCEPT TRACKER or 2000-01 DISC & DRUM -- TRUCKS -- EXCEPT TRACKER .
Use the Wheel Stud Remover (J 6627-A) in order to remove the stud from the axle flange. See Fig 1 . See SPECIAL TOOLS .
