Stabilizer Shaft Link (All Models Except C/K3): Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 30 other vehicles, including the 2000 GMC Yukon, 2000 GMC Pickup, 2000 GMC Cab & Chassis, 2000 GMC C3500 HD, and 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the stabilizer shaft link (10) to the bracket (1 and 6). Do not tighten nuts at this time.
  2. Install the upper bolt (3 and 11) through the bracket (1 and 6) and the link (10). Do not tighten nuts at this time.
  3. Install the stabilizer shaft link (10) to the stabilizer shaft (4). Do not tighten.
  4. Install the lower bolt (14 and 18) through the stabilizer shaft (4) and the link (10). Do not tighten nuts at this time.
  5. Install the upper washers (9 and 22) and nuts (8 and 21). Tighten the upper link nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Install the lower washers (9 and 19) and nuts (8 and 20). Tighten the lower link nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
