Idle Air Control Valve: Removal

CAUTION: DO NOT soak Idle Air Control (IAC) valve in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result. If IAC valve has been in service, DO NOT push or pull on IAC valve pintle. The force required to move the IAC valve pintle may damage the threads on the worm drive.

Turn ignition off. Remove engine cover. Disconnect IAC valve harness connector. IAC valve is located on side of throttle body unit. See Figure . Remove IAC valve mounting bolts. Remove IAC valve and "O" ring from throttle body assembly.
