Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  In cold weather, if the instrument panel (I/P) pad is not at room temperature, warm the I/P pad around the air outlet deflector. This will allow the I/P pad to become pliable for removal of the air outlet deflector.

  1. If you will reuse the existing air outlet deflector, wrap the ends of the needle nose pliers with tape in order to avoid marring the surface of the deflector.

  2. Remove the air outlet deflector from the I/P by pulling from the right and left side of the deflector.
