Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster (IPC) trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER .
  2. Grind the material from the heat stakes at the base of the air outlet deflector housing.
  3. Remove the air outlet deflector housing from the IPC trim plate.
  4. Using a small flat-B laded tool, disconnect the sides of the deflector housing.
  5. Open the deflector housing in order to expose the deflectors.
  6. Remove the deflectors from the housing by pressing out from the front to the rear.
