Replacement Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the right instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT -- RIGHT .
  3. Remove the I/P compartment door. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT -- IP .
  4. Remove the I/P compartment.

  5. Disengage the fuse block retainers from the I/P trim pad.

  6. Disconnect the wiring harness retainer (1) from the I/P trim pad (2).

  7. Remove the fuse block.

  8. Remove the fuses and the circuit breakers from the fuse block. Refer to UNDERHOOD FUSE BLOCK .

  9. Using the correct tool from J 38125-B  , remove the wires from the fuse block. Refer to UNDERHOOD FUSE BLOCK .
  10. Remove the fuse block.
