Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Install the upper retractor and attaching bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the upper retractor bolt to 41 N.m (31 lb ft).
Install the lower retractor and attaching bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the lower retractor bolt to 47 N.m (35 lb ft).

Install the lock pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - LOCK PILLAR (UPPER CONVERTIBLE) or TRIM REPLACEMENT - LOCK PILLAR (COUPE) or TRIM REPLACEMENT - LOCK PILLAR (LOWER CONVERTIBLE AND HARD TOP) in Interior Trim.

Install the upper guide bolt and cover.
Tighten

Tighten the upper guide bolt to 41 N.m (31 lb ft).
Snap the cover closed.

Install the side sill trim plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT in Interior Trim.
