Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the latch to the retainer and finger-tighten the bolts.
  2. Adjust the latch using the following procedures:
    • Adjust the latch up or down to make the lid flush.
    • Adjust the latch side to side gap from the lid to the quarter panels.
      NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
    • Tighten the latch bolts.

      Tighten 

      Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    • Connect the electrical connector to the latch.
    • Route the manual release cable down over the intermediate carpet. Position the end of the cable on the rear floor carpet.
    • Refer To COMPARTMENT LID EXTENSION - FOLDING TOP STOWAGE in Interior Trim.
    • Close the lid and position the folding top to the original position.
