Removal & Installation (3.1L & 3.4L)

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge solenoid harness connector. See Figure . Disconnect the vacuum supply hose and EVAP canister purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge solenoid.
  2. Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid retaining bolt. Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid from the intake manifold.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten EVAP canister purge solenoid bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
