Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Turn ignition off for 10 seconds. Start engine and accelerate and hold to 2500 RPM. Using scan tool, monitor STATUS of DTC P2600. If DTC P2600 has run and failed LAST TEST, go to next step. If DTC P02600 has not run and failed, problem is intermittent. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  .
  2. Turn ignition on, engine off. Check A/C CLUTCH fuse (10-amp). Replace and retest if open. Turn ignition off. Replace auxiliary coolant pump relay with A/C relay or replace with a known-good relay. Start engine and accelerate and hold to 2500 RPM. Using scan tool, monitor STATUS of DTC P2600. If DTC P2600 has run and failed LAST TEST, go to next step. If DTC P2600 has not run and failed LAST TEST, check auxiliary coolant pump relay connector. If connector is okay, replace auxiliary coolant pump relay.
  3. Connect test light between auxiliary coolant pump relay coil battery voltage cavity and ground in underhood fuse block. See Figure . If test light is on, check Pink wire for open between underhood fuse block and ECM (2.6-4.6 volts on Pink wire from ECM with ignition on, engine off is normal). If wire is okay, replace ECM. If test light is off, replace underhood fuse block.
