Diagnostic Aids

Diagnose any BCM passlock DTCs or communication DTCs first.

DTC indicates ECM received an incorrect password and may have set during drive cycle. If ECM detected an incorrect password during drive cycle, vehicle will start without the aid of passlock. ECM will default to fail enable mode. If ECM detected an incorrect password from BCM during an engine crank, engine will start then stall. Perform security system (passlock) relearn procedure.
