DTC Parameters

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

DTC sets if the difference between two averaged fuel level sensor readings is more than plus or minus 3.17 gallons (12 liters) from an ECM calculated fuel consumption (based on injector pulse width) of 3.70 gallons (14 liters). The calculated 3.70 gallons (14 liters) is consumed between the two average readings. The 3.70 gallon (14 liters) can be consumed between ignition cycles. If the ECM detects that a refueling event has occurred, the 3.70 gallon (14 liters) fuel consumption is started over. The 3.70 gallons (14 liters) must be consumed in order to PASS the diagnostic.
