Conditions For Setting DTC

DTC will set if the PNP switch is equal to Park or Neutral for 5 seconds when:

DTC P0705, P0716, P0717, P0722, P0723, P0742, P1779, P1780, P1791, P1758, P1888, P1889, U2103, U2104 and U2105 have not set.
Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.
Engine speed is greater than 500 RPM for at least 5 seconds.
Engine torque is greater than 1 ft. lbs. (2 N.m).
Transaxle output speed is 400 RPM or greater.
Accelerator pedal position angle is 5 percent or greater.
Speed ratio is 0.38 or greater.

DTC P1756 diagnostic runs continuously when the above conditions have been met. DTC P1756 is a type "B" DTC.
