Installation Procedure

Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the heater outlet pipe end, and the coolant surge tank inlet.

Install a new retaining strap (1) to retain the heater inlet hose (2) to the evaporator tube - front.
Position the retaining strap as shown.

Install the outlet heater hose to the heater outlet pipe.

Using the J 38185, install the heater hose clamp. Align the heater hose clamp as shown.
Install the outlet heater hose to the coolant surge tank.
Using the J 38185, install the heater hose clamp. Align the heater hose clamp as shown.
Refill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM in Engine Cooling.
