Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Flammability Caution in Cautions and Notices.
    CAUTION: Refer to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fuel Pressure Relief Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical in the C/K Pickup service manual.

  5. Remove the tank cover (2). Refer to Fuel Tank Cover Replacement .

  7. Disconnect the HPR fuel outlet line (4).

  9. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information in the C/K Pickup service manual.
  10. Disconnect the HPR fuel outlet line (3).
  11. Remove the line from the vehicle.
