Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Saturn LW200, 2002 Saturn L200, and 2002 Saturn L100. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

To locate this intermittent problem, use scan tool to monitor TRANSMISSION OSS with vehicle raised and drive wheels moving faster than 3 MPH. Parameter will drop out if a fault occurs.

DTC can set if a direct or intermittent short to voltage in Yellow wire occurs. An intermittent open anywhere in circuit or an intermittent short to ground in Yellow wire will also set DTC.

Check for damaged OSS or transaxle rotor teeth.

If PCM does not receive an OSS signal or if DTC is active, it will command maximum main line pressure to transaxle.

OSS resistance should be 1530-1870 ohms.
