Test Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
- 3: HI values for all signals in both Park and Drive 4 indicates the ground circuit is OPEN.
- 5: With the 20-way connector disconnected, all signals should indicate HI.
- 7: If one circuit affects the other, this indicates a short between the two circuits.
- 13: This step tests the internal transmission harness. If no fault is found in the harness, the fault will be in the switch.
DTC P1819 (3.4L)
| Step | Action | Value(s) | Yes | No |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls? | - | Go to Step 2 | Go to Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls - 3.4L |
| 2 |
IMPORTANT:
Before clearing the DTC, use the scan tool in order to record the Failure Records. Using the Clear DTC Information function erases the Failure Records from the PCM.
