Drive Belt Installation

  1. Route the drive belt around the following:
    • Crankshaft balancer
    • Air conditioning compressor
    • Drive belt tensioner
    • Power steering pump
    • Water pump pulley
    • Generator

  3. Insert a 1/2 inch drive ratchet into the drive belt tensioner.
  4. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise.
  5. Route the remainder of the drive belt around the drive belt idler pulley.
  6. Slowly rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise until the drive belt is tight.
  7. Remove the 1/2 inch drive ratchet.
  8. Inspect the drive belt for proper seating in all pulleys.
