Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation

    IMPORTANT: Follow the procedure sequence in order to prevent drive belt mis-alignment and/or possible damage/distortion to the components.

  1. Place the A/C compressor in position to the cylinder block.
  2. Loosely install the A/C compressor bolts.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Tighten the A/C compressor front upper bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the A/C compressor front upper bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Tighten the A/C compressor rear upper bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the A/C compressor rear upper bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  6. Tighten the A/C compressor rear lower bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the A/C compressor rear lower bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  7. Tighten the A/C compressor front lower bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the A/C compressor front lower bolt to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
