Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the right engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine in Body Front End.
- Remove the right stabilizer shaft links from the right lower control arm. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement in Front Suspension.
- Remove the right tie rod end from the right steering knuckle. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement in Power Steering System.
- Remove the right lower ball joint from the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement .
- Remove the right wheel drive shaft from the transaxle. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Front in Wheel Drive Shafts.
- Reposition and secure the right wheel drive shaft to the right steering knuckle and strut.
- Using the J 6125-B with the. See Special Tools and Equipment .J 6125-1B and the J 23129 remove the wheel drive shaft oil seal (1) from the transmission.
