Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

Remove the torque converter cover. Refer to Torque Converter Cover Replacement (LA1) or Torque Converter Cover Replacement (LY7) .

Use the J 37096 in order to rotate the flywheel and access the torque converter bolts. See Special Tools and Equipment .
Use the J 37096 to hold the flywheel. See Special Tools and Equipment .
