Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the powertrain module from the vehicle and install the engine to an engine stand. Refer to Engine Replacement .
  2. Remove the A/C compressor with the hoses from the engine. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Removal .
  3. Remove the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .
  4. Fig 1: Locating Oil Pan

  5. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Removal .
  6. Perform the following steps as necessary.
    1. Disassemble the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Disassemble
    2. Clean and inspect the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
