Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lower control arm to the crossmember.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts (5) and the nuts (4) to the lower control arm.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the cam bolt (1) and the cam washer (2) to the lower control arm.
  5. IMPORTANT: Align the cam indicator to the mark on the lower control arm.
  6. Install the cam nut (3) to the lower control arm.

    Tighten:  Tighten the cam nut to 125 N.m (92 lb ft).

  7. Install the coil spring. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement (Front Wheel Drive with Axle)  or Coil Spring Replacement (Front Wheel Drive without Axle)  or Coil Spring Replacement (All Wheel Drive) .
