Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install a NEW camshaft cover seal and NEW grommets.
    2. Fig 1: Removing & Installing Left Camshaft Cover

  2. Install the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Installation - Left .
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the left engine strut bracket-to-cylinder head bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the left engine strut bracket-to-cylinder head bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the ignition coils.

  5. Install the wiring harness to the front of the camshaft cover.
  6. Install the wiring harness conduit retainers to the wiring harness conduit.

  7. Install the wiring harness to the side of the camshaft cover.

  8. Connect the ignition coil electrical connectors.
  9. Install the upper intake manifold with the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement - Lower .
