Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.

  3. Remove the power steering pressure hose bracket nut and reposition the hose as necessary in order to gain access. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (LA1) or Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (LY7) in Power Steering System.
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (2).

  6. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
  7. Remove the CMP sensor.
