1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, observe the Engine Oil Life Remaining parameter in the PCM Data 2 data list.
Does the scan tool display zero percent with the Change Engine Oil message inoperative?
Go to Step 3  System OK

IMPORTANT: Perform the compass calibration and variance procedure on the replacement instrument panel cluster (IPC).
Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 4  -
4 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 2
