Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation - Lower Left

    IMPORTANT: The gasket may be reused if it is not torn, cracked, stretched, or swollen.
  1. Install the lower valve rocker arm cover.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the lower valve rocker arm cover screws.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the lower valve rocker arm cover screws in the proper sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    • Retighten the lower valve rocker arm cover screws in the proper sequence to the same torque, 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the injector harnesses.
  6. Install the injector harness bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the injector harness bracket bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the injector harness connectors to the injectors.

    Tighten:  Tighten the injector terminal nuts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
