Oil Pan Removal - Upper

Tools Required 

J 37228  Seal Cutter

  1. Remove the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt.
  2. Remove the oil level indicator tube.

  4. Remove the two oil pan to flywheel housing bolts (denoted by black triangles).

  6. Remove the 24 upper oil pan bolts using a long bit 6 mm hex driver.

  8. Separate the upper oil pan from the engine block using J 37228  .
  9. Remove the upper oil pan.
