TCC PWM solenoid is used to control fluid flow acting on converter clutch valve. Solenoid controls TCC apply and release. Solenoid is attached to control valve body. Ignition voltage is supplied directly to solenoid through fused circuit. PCM commands solenoid on or off through ground circuit. TCC PWM solenoid provides a smooth engagement of TCC by operating during duty cycle percent of on time. DTC P1860 is set if PCM detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to voltage in TCC PWM solenoid circuit.
