DTC B1367: IPC Ignition 0 Circuit Low

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada, 1999 GMC Sonoma, 1999 GMC Jimmy, 1999 GMC Envoy, and 1999 Chevrolet S10 Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under left side of dash. Attempt to establish communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). If scan tool communicates with IPC, check for intermittent in IPC wiring or connections. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If scan tool does not communicate with IPC, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect instrument panel cluster connector. If necessary, remove instrument cluster for access to connector. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove CLSTR fuse (10-amp) from instrument panel fuse block. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . Check for open, short to ground or high resistance in Pink wire between IPC connector terminal A8 and CLSTR fuse terminal in instrument panel fuse block. See Figure . Repair as necessary and go to step 5). If Pink wire checks okay , go to next step.
  3. Check for poor connection at IPC connector terminal A8 (Pink wire). Repair as necessary and go to step 5). If IPC connection is okay, go to next step.
  4. Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  5. Clear IPC DTCs using scan tool. Run engine and check DTCs. If DTC B1367 resets, go to step 2). If DTC B1367 does not reset, repair is complete.
