1	Did you review the Diagnostic Starting Point - Seat Belts?	Go to Step 2	Go to Diagnostic Starting Point - Seat Belts
2	Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Observe the seat belt indicator while buckling and unbuckling the driver seat belt. Does the seat belt indicator operate normally?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Install a scan tool. Buckle the driver's seat belt. With a scan tool, observe the Driver Side Belt Status parameter located in the SIR scan tool data list. Does the scan tool indicate that the seat belt is buckled?	Go to Step 4	Go to Step 5
4	Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console. Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 8	-
5	Turn OFF the ignition. Test the seat belt switch - left - signal circuit for an open, high resistance, or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 8	Go to Step 6
6	Test the low reference circuit of the seat belt switch - driver for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 8	Go to Step 7
7	Replace the seat belt switch - driver. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Front . Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 8	-
