Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator outlet hose to the water pump.
  2. Using the J 38185  , reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp to the water pump.
  3. Lower the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE in General Information.
  4. Install the radiator outlet hose to radiator.
  5. Using the J 38185  , reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp to the radiator.
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to ENGINE CONTROLS - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in Engine Controls-4.3L.
  7. Filling the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
