Brake Caliper (Rear): Assembly

  1. Install brake caliper bleed screw.
  2. Install brake caliper bleed screw cap.
  3. Lubricate NEW piston seal and brake caliper bore seal groove with brake fluid.
  4. Install new seal into brake caliper bore seal groove.
  5. Ensure that seal is not twisted.
  6. Lubricate brake caliper bore and piston with brake fluid.
  7. Install boot and piston.
    • Install boot over the end of the piston so that the fold will face toward brake caliper housing piston bore opening.
    • Seat the boot into the brake caliper bore groove. Slide piston into brake caliper bore.
    • Push piston down to bottom of brake caliper bore.
    • Ensure that boot is properly seated into the piston groove and into the groove in the brake caliper bore.
  8. Install brake caliper to vehicle. See BRAKE CALIPER (REAR) .
