Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel, if equipped. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - DOOR .
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the power door lock motor and the power window regulator, if equipped.
- Use J 36604
in order to compress the hinge spring.
- Remove the hinge pin clips:
- 4.1. Spread the clip and move the clip above the recess in the pin.
- 4.2. As the pin is removed, the clip will ride on and fall free of the pin.
- Use a soft-faced hammer and locking pliers in order to remove the lower hinge pin.

- Install a temporary bolt through the lower hinge in order to hold the door in place while removing the upper hinge pin.
- Remove the hinge pin from the upper hinge pin hole.
- Remove the temporary bolt from the lower hinge pin hole.
- With an assistant, remove the door from the vehicle.
