Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood release cable to the hood latch. Refer to HOOD LATCH RELEASE CABLE REPLACEMENT .

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the screws that retain the hood release lever to the cowl side trim panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the hood release lever screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  3. Install the left cowl side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - COWL SIDE in Interior Trim.
