Drum Brake Adjusting Hardware: Installation

  1. Install the actuator lever and the lever pivot.
  2. Install the actuator lever return spring.
  3. Install the hold down pins.
  4. Install the hold down springs.
  5. Install the brake shoe guide.
  6. Install the brake shoe return springs.
  7. Install the brake drum. See BRAKE DRUM .
  8. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  9. Adjust the brakes. See DRUM BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
