Adjustment Procedure

  1. Using the J 29843-9  removing the striker bolt. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  2. Loosen the door hinge to the body side pillar bolts.

  4. Adjust the door at the hinges in the following directions:
    • Upward or downward
    • Forward or rearward
  5. Adjust the gap between the rocker panel and the door.
  6. Adjust the gap between the door glass and the roof panel to 4.0-8.0 mm (0.16-0.31 in).
  7. Adjust the gap between the rear of the door and the rear pillar to 3.0-7.0 mm (0.12-0.28 in).
  8. Adjust the door so that the door surfaces are flush with the other panels within 1.0 mm (0.04 in).
  9. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  10. Tighten the hinge bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  11. Install the door striker bolt.

    Adjust the bolt in order to properly engage the door lock.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
