Schematic Reference: Memory Seats Schematics DEFINITION: All of the driver memory seat adjuster motors are inoperative from the seat adjuster switch. The memory functions may or may not be inoperative
1	Did you review the Memory Seats System Description and Operation?	Go to Step 2	Go to Symptoms - Seats
2	Using the seat adjuster switch attempt to operate the power seat in all directions. Are all of the power seat adjuster motors inoperative?	Go to Step 3	Go to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS
3	Install a scan tool. Observe the seat adjuster switch parameters in the memory seat module Inputs/Outputs data list. Operate the seat adjuster switches. Does the scan tool display the correct switch status in relation to the actual switch positions?	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 4
4	Disconnect the seat adjuster switch. Connect a test lamp from the battery voltage supply circuit terminal in the harness connector to a good ground. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 8
5	Connect a test lamp from the battery voltage supply circuit terminal to the ground circuit terminal in the seat adjuster switch harness connector. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 6	Go to Step 9
6	Using a DMM test the resistance through the seat adjuster switch from the battery voltage supply circuit terminal to a switch signal circuit terminal. Activate the switch function for the signal circuit being measured. Does the adjuster switch have continuity?	Go to Step 10	Go to Step 11
7	Disconnect the memory seat module connector C2. Disconnect all of the hall effect type adjuster motor position sensors. Test the hall effect position sensor 5-volt reference circuit for a short to ground. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 10
8	Disconnect the memory seat module connector C3. Test the battery voltage supply circuit from the memory seat module to the seat adjuster switch for an open or short to ground. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 10
9	Repair the seat adjuster switch ground circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to CIRCUIT TESTING and WIRING REPAIRS . Is the repair complete?	Go to Step 13	-
10	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connectors of the memory seat module. Refer to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS and to CONNECTOR REPAIRS . Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 12
11	Replace the power seat switch. Refer to Seat Switch Replacement - Power . Is the repair complete?	Go to Step 13	-
12	Replace the memory seat module. Refer to Memory Seat Control Module Replacement . Is the repair complete?	Go to Step 13	-
13	Operate the system in order to verify the repair. Did you correct the condition?	System OK	Go to Step 3
