Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the front section of the headliner and suitably support. Refer to Headliner Replacement  .

  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Remove the rear corner moldings. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Corner  .
  4. Remove the rear upper trim molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade/Suburban)  or Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper (Avalanche/Escalade EXT)  .
  5. Remove the rear coat hook.
  6. Carefully release the headliner from the roof support Velcro(R) retainers.
  7. Remove the headliner from the vehicle.
