Electric Auto/Apply System

  1. Ensure shift lever is in Park, and manual parking brake is set. Loosen adjusting rod jam nuts. Rotate rod until hole in switch cam aligns with hole in bracket. Insert 3/8" (9.5 mm) pin through switch cam and bracket. See Fig 1. Tighten jam nuts.
  2. Loosen cam actuated switch jam nuts. Adjust switch so plunger contacts clevis pin and clevis pin contacts cam assembly. DO NOT compress switch plunger more than .020" (.5 mm). Tighten jam nuts and remove pin. Check parking brake operation and holding ability. Repeat procedure if necessary.
