Braking Action Uneven - Pulls To One Side

  1. Were you sent here from the Hydraulic Brake Symptom Table? If so, go to next step. If not, go to STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  under TROUBLESHOOTING.
  2. Inspect the suspension system for proper operation. See appropriate FRONT or REAR article under SUSPENSION. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  7. If not, go to next step.
  3. Inspect the steering system for proper operation. See appropriate POWER STEERING article in STEERING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  7. If not, go to next step.
  4. Inspect the hydraulic brake system for proper operation. See HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS  under SYSTEM TESTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  7. If not, go to next step.
  5. Inspect the disc brake system for proper operation. See DISC BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS  under SYSTEM TESTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  7. If not, go to next step.
  6. Inspect the drum brake system, if equipped, for proper operation. See DRUM BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS  under SYSTEM TESTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to next step. If not, go to STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  under TROUBLESHOOTING.
  7. Road test the vehicle in order to confirm proper operation. See BRAKE SYSTEM VEHICLE ROAD TEST  under TROUBLESHOOTING. Is the condition still present? If so, go to step  2. If not, system is okay.
