Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the engine mount to the engine mount bracket.
- Install the engine mount upper nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the engine mount upper nuts to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).
- Install the engine mount bracket with the engine mount to the oil pan.
- Install all the engine mount bracket bolts. Hand tighten only.
- Install the engine mount bracket bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
- Use the utility stand in order to lower the engine.
- Install the engine mount lower nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the engine mount lower nuts to 47 N.m (35 lb ft).
- Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine in Body Front End.
- Install the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Connect the three-way catalytic converter pipe to the engine right side exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement in Engine Exhaust.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the engine mount struts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right .
- Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT REPLACEMENT in Engine Controls - 3.6L.
- Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) in Engine Electrical.
