Rear Chassis EVAP Pipe Removal Procedure
Important: When replacing the evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe, always replace the pipe with original equipment or parts that meet the GM specifications for this part. The replacement pipe must have the same type of fittings as the original pipe in order to ensure the integrity of the connection.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove the hose clamp (3) securing the front EVAP pipe to the chassis mounted EVAP pipe.
- Release the EVAP pipe connector hose from the EVAP chassis pipe.
- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Fuel Tank Replacement (Side) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Rear) .
- Release the EVAP pipe from the chassis retainers.
- Remove the EVAP pipe.
