Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing & Jacket - Assemble

1. Install the steering column housing assembly onto the steering column housing jacket assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 4 TORX© head screws to the steering column housing assembly.
- Tighten the TORX© head screws to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the following parts onto the steering column jacket assembly:
3.1. The steering shaft (1).
3.2. The adapter and bearing assembly (2).
3.3. The steering column seal (3).





4. Install the park lock cable assembly.
5. Install 3 flat head 6-lobed socket tapping screws.
- Tighten the flat head 6-lobed socket tapping screws to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





6. Install the automatic transmission shift lock control.
7. Install the gearshift lever and put the column in the NEUTRAL position.
8. Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
9. Install the electronic lock module assembly. Refer to Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
