Shift Lever - Assemble

Notice: Refer to Improper Routing of the Wire Harness Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the shift lever seal (2) onto the shift lever assembly (4).
2. Install the shift lever assembly (4).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the shift lever screw (3) into the shift lever assembly (4).
- Tighten the shift lever screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).
4. Slide the shift lever seal (2) down the shift lever assembly (4).
5. Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
6. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
