Hood Latch Release: Service and Repair

HOOD RELEASE LEVER REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the left cowl side trim panel.
2. Remove the screws that retain the hood release lever to the cowl side trim panel.




3. Remove the hood release cable from the hood latch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the hood release cable to the hood latch.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




2. Install the screws that retain the hood release lever to the cowl side trim panel.

Tighten
Tighten the hood release lever screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

3. Install the left cowl side trim panel.
