Diagnostic Aids

Check for an improperly installed air cleaner outlet duct, collapsed or restricted air cleaner outlet duct or a missing or plugged air filter, any vacuum leaks in throttle body or intake manifold. Check for damaged or blocked throttle body inlet, corrosion or leaks in exhaust system, or loose or missing exhaust hardware. Ensure HO2S is installed securely and pigtail harness is not contacting exhaust manifold or wires. Check for any HO2S contamination, vacuum hoses for splits, kinks and proper connections. Check for any excessive water, alcohol or other contaminants in fuel. Ensure PCM sensor grounds are clean, tight and properly positioned.
